Bowman Baby Shower!

Today was my sister in law Rachele's baby shower. You can see her and my brother Matthew's baby reveal here. Her friends set up the whole thing and I thought they did a great job of making it fun and exciting. I took some photos to show of Rachele's special day.

Food and Dessert Bar 

You got to love Itailians, they know how to cook. Rachele's Mum made a lot if not all of the food at the shower, and everything was delicious. She also has a friend Deena who made all the desserts as well as a fantastic DIY dessert bar. She owns a bakery called Andee's Sweet Treats. I sometimes get cravings for her cupcakes and want an excuse just to order a dozen. 

Fun and Games

A fan favourite at baby showers is always guessing how big the Mum-2-Be's belly is. There were three people who guessed right and as a tie breaker the winner was the person who's birthday was closest to Rachele's due date.

The next game we played was a guessing game. Matthew and Rachele wrote down some of their traits (eg. Matthew's sense of humor, Rachele's eyes) on a piece of paper. They then chose which of their traits they wanted the baby to get, and we had to guess which traits they chose.  

The person with the most right answers won. 

WINNER- 18-22 correct!!!

This was similar to the game we played at the gender reveal party, only it was the first one who finished their baby bottle of water won. 

 

WINNER!!!!!

Another game was drawing what we thought their baby was going to look like and my niece won this game at our table. She got to take home the wonderful centerpiece. 

Gifts for Mum, Dad, and Baby!

Each guest was asked in lieu of cards to please give your favourite baby book for Baby Bowman Library. Richard chose our book; The Hobbit. This was the book his father read to him as a child and he wanted Baby Bowman to have it in her collection. 

 I wonder if this next shirt comes in my size. :)

They got a lot of great stuff to use for their new baby girl and for all the other children they plan on having in the future. Can't wait to meet my new niece. August 19th is just around the corner!!!
