Our New Condo!!! Picture Heavy

Well it has been a roller coaster of a week. Richard and I went Condo shopping last Friday not expecting to find anything, but to just see how much money would get us what. The first place we saw was actually quite perfect for us, it just needs some basic cosmetic upgrades and some fresh paint. After we saw this one we looked at 3 others but kept going back to the first. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get something so soon, because we had originally said we were going to wait a year before making a decision. After talking with family members we decided to look at it again with Richards parents and, see what we thought on a second look. Well the second look was a great idea because, we decided it was just what we wanted and we put in an offer. On Monday we found out that the offer was accepted!!!! I'm very happy but also very nervous, and Richard is extremely happy because this is the last big thing we have to do. The condo is in downtown Brampton close to Shoppers World, so its perfect for Richard as it is only a 5-10 minute walk for him to catch his bus for work. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and we will have our own laundry room. On Thursday we had a home inspection which went very well and while I was there I took some photos to show everyone.

I'm really looking forward to making this place our own. Richard and I have decided to redecorate one room at a time and I want to start with his office, then move onto our bedroom, and then move onto the Living Room. We move April the 27th. :)

  2. It took me aaaaages to figure out what that room with the vaccum is. Then I looked at the next pic and duh, it's a massive closet. You could have a couch in there!

I'm going to camp in your solarium. just ignore me. You can even lock me in there so I don't bother nomal society.

CAN I HELP DECORATE?? I love painting!

  5. I have to say that I'm a bit envious of you, Paula. You found a perfect place with spacious rooms and large windows that keep a vibrant spirit. How is it now and how's the neighborhood? If it's not too late, I hope you consider changing your wall's colors to a livelier one.

    1. Thank you so much for looking at my blog. It makes me so happy when new readers leave comments. We did get pretty lucky with our condo, and after living in it for just over a year I can still say it was one of the best decisions we made.

When we moved in we knew it was in need of some TLC but other then painting some rooms (we chose to stick with an Autumn palette)I haven't really done much. However since revamping my blog I'm wanting to show off my passion of interior design and decorating. I'm actually writing a post now about my husbands office and the changes we have made to that. So if you want to see some progress I have made you can follow my blog through bloglovin' or even join as a follower and then get updates. His room is the biggest challenge because our tastes are extremely different.

The neighborhood is actually pretty fantastic! We have a couple of friends who live 5 mins down the street and its located close to the downtown of the city we live in, so there are always events going on. The building itself is mostly occupied by seniors, so its pretty quite, and we are lucky enough to have a lot of extras in the condo.

Again thanks for your comment and I hope you become a follower. Bye for now. Paula.

  6. Condo shopping is so much fun! It's nice to view presentable units that will make you feel at home. My broker just sent me a list of fantastic units and I can't wait to visit all of them. Hehe! Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your stay there, Paula. How are you now? :)

  7. Thanks for sharing, Paula. Renovations can help you dictate the ambiance in your condo and make it more homey. It's been so long, and I wonder if you plan to renovate your place. I guess you still have more to do aside from the painting jobs.
